Colts tie Super Bowl record with 96-yard TD drive

Peyton Manning directed a Super Bowl record-tying 96-yard drive that ended on a 19-yard touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon, giving the Colts a 10-0 lead over the Saints in the first quarter.
The Saints pinned the Colts at the 4 on a punt, but Manning quickly moved them out of the shadow of their goal posts. He opened the drive with an 11-yard pass to rookie RB Donald Brown, then turned to RB Joseph Addai for runs of 16, 11 and 26 yards. Manning’s TD pass to Garcon came on a third-and-6 play.
The 1985 Bears also had a 96-yard scoring drive in Super Bowl XX against the Patriots.
